STREET WALKING

STREET WALKING:

Tonight was ABSOLUTELY AWE INSPIRING!! We started out on the roof of Corey’s place calling down goodness, grace, love, peace… and right when Corey started to call down love and EXPLOSION (firework) went off right next to us. It wasn’t by chance the timing.

While we were praising Him I got two words of knowledge. There is a guy that we are going to meet that God wants to heal his back and a woman who needs to hear the gospel. So we went down to street level and asked Holy Spirit where to go. Corey and I really felt a leading to the river. We continued in that direction and saw a man who was hobbling up the path with a satchel on.

We went up to him and asked him if he had back issues. He said yes and told us the story of his injury. Holy Spirit told me to have him do something that he couldn’t first. He bent over and didn’t even make it half way without wincing in pain and grabbing his back. We declared healing in Jesus name to that back and then asked him to do the same thing. That man touched his toes!! He shot up and looked at us with HUGE eyes. Prayed again and Corey asked if there was something greater that he hasn’t been able to do. He said he hasn’t been able to run in 20 years. That man RAN up and down the riverwalk! HEALED IN JESUS NAME!

Corey said he had a picture of a covered bridge last week but maybe it was for this one. We walked over and sure enough right when we reached the entry point a woman was right there. She was Indian. He presented the gospel to her and she wished us well. Holy Spirit confirmed that was her and that we were to plant a seed.

There was a man who also had a back issue that walked past us. We prayed for him and some mobility returned but he needed to go.

As we were almost home we saw a man sitting on the steps of a church. His knee was pretty bad and in a lot of pain. He said it would be very painful to get up prior to praying. I asked him if he needed prayer for a job, place to stay, and finances. He said no that God knows all that he needs. After talking with him for a bit we prayed for his knee. He got distracted with talking afterwards and he bent that knee like it was nothing. We were so excited and he realized that his knee was completely better! All during the time we were talking I had my hand on his shoulder and I asked Holy Spirit to come and love on him. Right as we are about to pray for him he said he needs prayer for a job, place to stay, and money. Holy Spirit loves loves loves to tell us things ahead of time. We blessed him and gave him the word that it is a new day.

Corey and I made our way back to the roof and gave God all the GLORY for all the AWE INSPIRING things that happened tonight.

He just asks that we say YES and GO.

Healing in a PROCESS

My Daughter Sophie is a walking joy bomb. If you ever met her, you couldn’t help but smile. I love her so much! My little glamor girl princess was adopted from China about two years ago. She is ALL GIRL! Loves loves loves shoes, jewelry, purses, accessories, and glamor outfits.

We are helping Sophie to overcome some difficult areas of developmental delays that she is aggressively taking on. She has lots of PT, OT, Speech, NP, and Aqua therapy. Every night I pray for her, prophecy over her, and declare healing. Which is always returned with her grabbing my shirt and kissing me all over my face and sometimes tears.

It isn’t easy to see a loved ones stand in pain or not fully healed yet, my daughter with her delays and my wife with chronic arthritis, and a few others circumstances also. I have grown in my understanding of God’s goodness and how it isn’t contingent upon MY CIRCUMSTANCES. He is GOOD in every way ALL THE TIME. Understanding this enables me to continue to pray for people, and see them get healed, while standing in expectation for my daughter and wife. I’ve seen crazy healing stories already in my life, and I have come to realize that ONLY I LIMIT God from moving, for others, through me, when I MAKE agreements to DISQUALIFY MYSELF based upon my circumstances or how I see myself/God.

One afternoon I declared healing upon her during a nap. Since she isn’t able to talk yet, except for a few protowords (words that we understand but are not understandable to most), I asked Sophie to say the hardest word I could think of as evidence “Da-Da.” Probably not the best choice to ask for the hardest word, but hey nothing is impossible! The “D” sound is extremely difficult for her to create with her mouth. I waited… nothing. Asked again, “Sophie can you say Da-Da?” Nothing. I thought wow it didn’t happen… I asked God, “Man did I miss you? If I am heading in the right direction of all of this can you give me some sort of encouragement that you are in process of healing my daughter since she is unable to test anything out?” Nothing… What do you do at that point? I kissed her, and told her how much I love her. Then I thanked God for doing what I can’t see.

About an hour later Amanda (wife) and I got in the car to run some errands. About 5 minutes into our trip Sophie started saying “Da-Da” for 45 minutes straight, non-stop! I could not stop laughing and thanking Him for a process of healing for my little princess.

Come on… Now that’s pretty amazing! He LOVES LOVES LOVES to heal all areas of our lives – not just the physical!

Legs grow in our hands

(I have changed names inside of this testimony)

I’m on the prayer team for after services to minister to people.  She came up and told us (three of us but names removed) about her back hurting but didn’t specify where. It the process she shared the impact of her back injury, ankle injury, and finger. We took our time with her and Stacey started by correcting some theology that she had on healing and encouraging her. We cast off the spirit of fear and then talked some more. After that we started to just wait on his heart for her so we could see her through his eyes. Then we started praying for her back and she started to feel heat in her ears and lower back. God had showed me what looked like an x-ray and two bumped out bones in her spine. I asked her if it was her lower back and she said yes. Then I encouraged her that God had showed me this before we started and I said this to strengthen her faith that He sees it. Then Mike got a word that her feet are not even. We sat her down in the chair and neither of us had done this before but both of us were like little kids excited to see what happens! Then I held her legs as Mike prayed and we all watched her leg grow right before our eye. It grew about an inch to inch and half to become flush with her other leg. Then we prayed for her back and ankle and there was no longer any pain in either when we finished!! YAY GOD!!! SO GOOD!

A New Back

I went to our prayer ministry team meeting and I shared all that God has been doing recently. I told them all of these things and said it is NOT ok that this is more out there and we are not living and experiencing God in this way! The promises are for NOW! The Kingdom is NOW!

After the meeting one of my best friends asked if I would pray for her. I said absolutely! I am so new to this I confessed – God doesn’t need me but I am really excited to be a part of it. Before I started I wanted to share some more insights into testimonies – that they shift the atmosphere for a God that LOVES to do it again and again. She examined my healing on my neck and I explained what it was like prior. I told her before we started if she feels anything… warm, tingling, electricity, anything to let us know. My wife and another friend jumped in. We started praying for a rash also on her. We checked it out and there was a small reduction but she then said I feel really warm in my back that has been hurting for some time. So we prayed for that and her rash again and BAM! GONE! HEALED! I stood up in started YELLING – YAY GOD!! YEAH!!!!!!

After the healing there was a fear that it would go away so I got to share some deep truth about our Dad and how gifts are received and held on to. That it is yours. She posted the following on Facebook that night: “So, I don’t normally post a lot of stuff on Facebook, but this is way too amazing and awesome to keep to myself! My back has been bothering me (dull and sometimes sharp) for the last month. Bothering me when I sleep, sit, pick up my baby. ….. you get the picture. Well, I was with a group of people tonight, and Benjamin Brooks shared about his recent healing from a rash. I asked to be prayed for and I kid you not, the aching dull pain that was always there is gone! I feel amazed that when I bent over the sink to wash my face tonight, when I drove home, and laying in bed there was no pain. I feel good! Thank you God, YOU Are so good and you give incredible gifts!”

My response: “We are kids of a healing God! Love that we had the opportunity to pray with you!! Yay God!! So AWESOME!! We have a dad who loves to give good gifts and that can’t be taken from you! It’s yours! Enjoy the NEW back!!”

Healing of a Rash

I had a rash of some sort on my left neck area, prayed and pressed in and watched it disappear before my eyes to about 80-90% gone! It changed like scales or scaring falling off and the color changed from red to really light pink.

Extending Heaven… All Him! YAY GOD!
